Our small-group day tours are suitable for all traveller types aged 16 and older, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for everyone. We focus on creating a relaxed, personal journey for all on board, no matter if you are a solo traveller or travelling with others.

Note: Guests who are 16 or 17 must be accompanied by an adult.

All our tours travel in comfortable minivans designed for a small-group experience of up to 5 guests (plus the driver). For pick-ups, we typically fill seats from the back forward and arrange stops based on geographic order, helping everyone settle comfortably and enjoy a personal, relaxed journey while connecting with fellow travellers.

Our small-group day tours generally last between 7 and 9 hours from start to finish, depending on which tour you choose. We offer a variety of tours, each with its own route and schedule. Return to Halifax generally occurs between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m., though times may vary slightly due to traffic, weather, construction, or tour-specific schedules.

Pick-ups are scheduled based on geographic order, ensuring an efficient route for all guests. For a comfortable and relaxed experience, we typically fill seats from the back forward, helping everyone settle in easily and enjoy the journey while connecting with fellow travellers.

We pick up from all Hotels, Motels, and AirBNBs between Halifax Peninsula and Bayer's Lake, however guests can also request other convenient locations, such as a store parking lot, train station, or other easily accessible spot. Guests staying outside these areas can contact us to arrange a nearby meeting point.

We reserve the right to modify pick-up locations if multiple guests are staying near each other—so everyone can meet in one place—or if a requested location isn’t suitable for a safe or efficient pick-up (such as a one-way street, opposite our direction of travel or a location without guaranteed parking).

Pick-up times will be communicated via email no later than 4:00 PM (Atlantic) the day before your tour—please check your email. (If you do not receive your pick-up information by 5:00 PM, please contact us.)

Please note: Your driver may arrive a few minutes earlier or later than scheduled due to traffic or prior guest pick-ups, so we kindly ask that you be ready and waiting at least 10 minutes before your scheduled pick-up time. The driver will wait up to 5 minutes after the scheduled time before moving on to the remaining guests and beginning the day. Unfortunately, refunds cannot be provided for missed pick-ups, so we appreciate your cooperation in being ready on time.

Your driver-guide will meet you at your scheduled pick-up location at the assigned time. Full instructions will be provided in your pick-up email the day before.

We recommend wearing comfortable footwear and dressing in layers, as Nova Scotia’s coastal weather can be unpredictable and may change throughout the day. Bringing sun protection, such as sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses, as well as a water bottle will help keep you comfortable throughout the day. We also recommend bringing government issued photo ID. If you’re prone to motion sickness, consider bringing Gravol or another anti-nausea remedy, as some roads along the routes can be winding.

Gratuities are not included in the tour price. If you feel your experience was excellent, tips are always appreciated as a way to thank your driver-guide for a great day. Gratuities may be given in cash, in either CAD or USD, at the end of the tour.

On our South Shore Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg & 2 Hidden Gems small-group day tour, all mandatory entrance fees (such as the BernArt Maze and Ovens Natural Park sea caves (when visited)), are included in the price of your tour.

On our Annapolis Valley Experience small-group day tour, there are no mandatory entrance fees, however, guests aged 19+ may choose to do a wine tasting while visiting Luckett Vineyards (at own expense).  Don't forget your ID!

Your safety and comfort are our top priorities. We follow strict safety protocols and are fully licensed with the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board (NSUARB). Our drivers are experienced, trained, and committed to providing a safe, smooth ride throughout your tour. All vehicles are regularly maintained and inspected to meet the highest safety standards.

We do not pick up at the Port of Halifax (cruise ship terminals). Guests arriving via cruise ship are responsible for ensuring they can meet their tour on time. We ask all cruise passengers to meet at the Westin Nova Scotian (1181 Hollis St, Halifax), so please enter this as your pick-up location when booking.

Pickup for our South Shore tour could be as early as 7:00 AM, and pickup for our Annapolis Valley tour could be as early as 8:00 AM. A specific return time to the Westin Nova Scotian is not guaranteed and typically falls between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. We do not take responsibility for missed morning pickups or missed cruise ship departures at end of day.

Coastal weather in Nova Scotia is famously unpredictable—as locals say, “if you don’t like the weather, just wait five minutes.” Our tours operate rain or shine, allowing you to experience Nova Scotia’s changing weather. We recommend dressing in layers and preparing for changing conditions.

For your safety and comfort, we reserve the right to cancel a tour in cases of extreme weather, such as heavy rains, hurricanes (onshore or offshore), flash flooding, or other severe conditions that may arise. If a cancellation is necessary, we will notify you promptly by email or phone and work with you to reschedule or cancel with a full refund.

In the rare event that severe weather occurs during a tour, your guide will use their discretion to adjust the itinerary or end the tour early to ensure everyone’s safety, while still making the most of your experience wherever possible.

24-hour Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the tour start time receive a full refund.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the tour start time are non-refundable.

If you booked directly through our website, via our website's contact form (email), or by phone, please contact us as soon as possible to cancel your booking.

If you booked through a third-party website such as Trip Advisor / Viator (+1 888-651-9785) or GetYourGuide, please contact them directly for changes or cancellations (each have their respective cancellation policy).

If you plan to fly a drone, it is your responsibility to ensure you follow all local laws and regulations in the areas you are visiting. Drones must be small enough to carry in a backpack, so they take up minimal space in the van. Photography is allowed and encouraged — we love seeing guests capture their experiences and the beautiful scenery along the tour.

To maintain a clean, comfortable, and premium small-group experience for all guests, animals are not permitted on our tours. Our vehicles have limited space, and each seat is reserved for a paying guest. We appreciate your understanding.

Pick-up times are provided in advance, so we kindly ask guests to be ready and waiting at least 10 minutes before their scheduled time. To keep the day running smoothly for all guests, the driver will wait up to 5 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time. If a guest has not arrived within that window, the tour will continue as planned to avoid delaying others. Missed pick-ups are considered a no-show and, unfortunately, are not eligible for a refund.

Yes. A minimum of 2 guests is required for any tour to operate. At our discretion, and availability permitting, we may reach out to small groups of two to see if they’d like to join another day for a more social experience. If the minimum isn’t met, we’ll contact you in advance to offer rescheduling or a full refund.

We welcome guests who can comfortably get themselves in and out of a minivan and manage some walking at stops. All stops are designed with free time, so guests can enjoy as much or as little walking as they prefer. Step-stools are available to assist with entering and exiting; please let us know in advance if you’d like to use one. Seats are generally filled back to front based on geographic pick-up locations, but if you have a significant mobility issue—for example, using a cane, folding walker, or crutches—and need the front seat reserved, please contact us ahead of time to see if this can be accommodated on your tour day.

Please check our Tours page for availability.

If you have any additional questions, please visit our Contact page, where you can reach us via the contact form, phone, or WhatsApp. We’re happy to provide more details and assist with any inquiries you may have.
