Pick-Up Locations
Pick-ups are scheduled based on geographic order, ensuring an efficient route for all guests. For a comfortable and relaxed experience, we typically fill seats from the back forward, helping everyone settle in easily and enjoy the journey while connecting with fellow travellers.
We pick up from all Hotels, Motels, and AirBNBs between Halifax Peninsula and Bayer's Lake, however guests can also request other convenient locations, such as a store parking lot, train station, or other easily accessible spot. Guests staying outside these areas can contact us to arrange a nearby meeting point.
We reserve the right to modify pick-up locations if multiple guests are staying near each other—so everyone can meet in one place—or if a requested location isn’t suitable for a safe or efficient pick-up (such as a one-way street, opposite our direction of travel or a location without guaranteed parking).
What to Bring
Comfortable footwear, layers, water bottle, packed lunch (if you are opting not to eat in a restaurant or cafe) and sun protection are recommended.

Cruise Ship Passengers
We do not pick up at the Port of Halifax (cruise ship terminals). Guests arriving via cruise ship are responsible for ensuring they can meet their tour on time. We ask all cruise passengers to meet at the Westin Nova Scotian (1181 Hollis St, Halifax), so please enter this as your pickup location when booking.
Pickup for the South Shore tour could be as early as 7:00 AM, and pickup for the Annapolis Valley tour could be as early as 8:00 AM. A specific return time to the Westin Nova Scotian is not guaranteed and typically falls between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. We do not take responsibility for missed pickups or missed cruise ship departures.
Weather
Coastal weather in Nova Scotia is famously unpredictable—as locals say, “if you don’t like the weather, just wait five minutes.” Our small-group day tours operate rain or shine, allowing you to experience Nova Scotia’s changing weather. We recommend dressing in layers and preparing for changing conditions.
For your safety and comfort, we reserve the right to cancel a tour in cases of extreme weather, such as heavy rains, hurricanes (onshore or offshore), flash flooding, or other severe conditions that may arise. If a cancellation is necessary, we will notify you promptly by email or phone and work with you to reschedule or cancel with a full refund. In the rare event that severe weather occurs during a tour, your guide will use their discretion to adjust the itinerary or end the tour early to ensure everyone’s safety, while still making the most of your experience wherever possible.
